Shoutout to the guy who showed me how to fix a dishwasher float switch in 15 minutes

Last week I was staring at a KitchenAid that wouldnt stop filling, ready to swap the whole valve assembly. A senior tech at the supply house told me to check the float switch first because food gunk gets stuck under it all the time. Has anyone else saved a ton of time on dishwashers with simple cleaning you wouldnt expect?

Cleaned out my dryer vent with a shop vac once instead of buying a new hose, @wesleypatel. It took 20 minutes and saved me $40. Sometimes the simple fix really does work.
