That $180 torque wrench set saved my butt on a GE washer job
Had a GE front loader shaking so bad the customer thought the floor was gonna cave. I was ready to blame the suspension rods but my old torque wrench was way off. Grabbed a new digital set from Grainger, ran the drum nut to spec, and it's been quiet for 2 months. Anyone else ever get burned by a lazy torque wrench and then upgrade? What brand you running now?

My buddy Mike had the same thing happen with his old click-type wrench on a Maytag dryer drum. It read 80 ft-lbs but when he double-checked it with a beam style, it was actually cranking out like 105. He blamed that dryer's noisy bear
