The week I fixed 14 fridges in 5 days and almost quit

Last summer I had this stretch in July where every call was a fridge. One day in particular I drove from a house in Beaverton to a restaurant in Hillsboro and both were Samsung compressors shot. By Thursday I had done 14 fridge jobs total and my back was screaming at me. Has anyone else hit a wall like that where you just want to walk away from the whole trade for a few days?

And after all that you probably got bitched at for the price tag too, right? That's the part that makes me want to flip a table. Samsung compressors are a plague on this industry, I swear.

Three of those 14 fridges were in apartments where the tenants had NO IDEA how to clean the coils or level the unit properly. Nobody talks about how a lot of these problems are really user error that just gets blamed on the tech. I had one lady yell at me for an hour about her Samsung dying after 2 years and she admitted she never even took the back panel off to dust it. That whole week I realized half the job is fixing the machine and the other half is fixing the owner's expectations. Made me seriously think about switching to commercial work where people just pay you and shut up about it.
