Found a 200 year old coin with a garden trowel in my backyard
I was digging up dandelions in my yard last Saturday and my cheap trowel hit something hard. Pulled up a worn down 1820s large cent that I almost mistook for a rock. Took it to a local coin shop and they said it's worth maybe 40 bucks in this shape. Has anyone else stumbled on old finds while doing boring yard work?

Neat that you found a large cent, but just a heads up those actually stopped being minted in 1857, so yours is probably an early large cent from the 1820s. Still a cool find for backyard digging though.

Backyard digging" reminds me of the time @price.jake found a rusted horseshoe and thought it was treasure.
