PSA: My trowel broke mid-dig at a site in New Mexico

I was out near Clovis last month on a survey and my Marshalltown trowel snapped clean at the handle. Just crumbled after hitting a caliche nodule wrong. Had to finish the afternoon scraping with a rock I found. Anyone else had a trowel fail on them like that? What brand do you trust now?

Switched to a WHS" after having a Marshalltown snap doesn't give me much hope for them either.

Man same thing happened to me, I switched to a WHS and it's been solid.
