Spent 6 hours trying to clean a Roman coin with a toothbrush
I used to think soft brushing was the best way for ancient coins, but I spent 6 hours on one denarius and barely got any dirt off. A guy on a dig told me to try distilled water and a soak for two days instead, and it came out way clearer. Has anyone else found a specific cleaning method that saves time?
