I was renewing my license at the DMV on Alvernon Way and the guy behind the counter mentioned offhand that anyone who knows the area skips the Broadway exit and cuts through 22nd instead. I tried it the next day and knocked 15 minutes off my drive. Now when I hit a new city I just ask whoever is scanning my groceries what road the locals avoid. Is there a spot in your town that only people who live there know to skip?
