Drove 90 minutes to a tiny diner outside Amarillo on a local's tip, best chicken fried steak I have had, but was it worth the drive?

Funny how the best stuff is never close by. The gas station down the street has perfectly fine food but nobody ever talks about it. It's like the drive itself becomes part of the meal, and you can't brag about somewhere you walked to. Half the fun is knowing you put in the effort and most people won't. So yeah, probably worth it, but I bet the steak tastes better on the way home than it did on the way there.
