PSA: Ask the Locals archives are way deeper than I thought

I went digging for an old thread about tourist traps and found posts from 2012 that still had useful parking tips for my trip to Austin. Has anyone else gotten lost in the archive hole and actually used advice from a decade ago?

Hold up, I gotta correct one thing real quick. Those parking tips from 2012 might be sketchy now, Austin's changed a ton since then, whole lots got turned into condos. But the general advice about avoiding the overpriced lots near Sixth Street is still solid, just double check the actual spots still exist. Still a good find though, the local knowledge about the free street parking on the east side was clutch for me last year.
