PSA: neighborhood Facebook groups are losing it

I live over in Oakwood and I swear the local ask group has turned into a lost and found for porch pirates. Last week someone posted about a stray orange tabby for the fourth time this month and folks got into a 50 comment fight about whether it was the same cat. I had to pick between leaving the group or just muting it for a while. I muted it after three days of that nonsense, but now I miss the legit posts about power outages and good taco spots. Anyone else feel like these groups get hijacked by the same three people?

@mark_hernandez12 that sounds about right, I think the same three people just rotate topics to keep the drama going. I muted mine for a week and came back to find someone arguing about a misdelivered Amazon package that happened three months ago. It's like the good posts get drowned out by people who have way too much time on their hands.

Man I feel this, I'm pretty sure half my group is just my neighbor arguing with himself about that same cat.
