PSA: that $60 box of cable labels I bought? Total waste of money
Last month I spent a lot of time running new cat6 through my attic for the home office. I figured I'd get fancy and bought a whole pack of numbered cable labels and a label maker. Cost me about $60 total. In the end I just wrote on masking tape with a sharpie and it worked way better. The labels started peeling off in the heat up there after like 3 weeks. Plus the label maker jammed on me twice and I tossed it in a drawer. Now I got 500 labels I'll never use. Has anyone else found a decent way to keep cables sorted without spending a fortune?

Did you try cleaning the cables with alcohol before sticking the labels on? That made a big difference for me when I was labeling stuff in my workshop.
