I was driving through Amarillo on I-40 last Tuesday and asked the guy behind the counter where to get real food, not fast food. He pulled out a napkin and drew me a map to a taco truck behind a laundromat on 6th Ave, said his aunt ran it. Do locals in your town have a go to spot they only share if you ask the right way?
