That $40 haircut at Supercuts cost me a lot more in the long run

Went to a cheaper spot near me about 6 months ago to save some cash, and the lady totally botched my layers. Ended up spending $90 at a better salon to fix it and still had to wait 3 weeks for it to grow out a bit. Made me realize I'd rather pay a known stylist $60 upfront than gamble with discount cuts. Has anyone else paid extra for a mistake fix that ended up costing more than the original job?

Ugh I feel your pain, that happened to me with a bad color fix.

That color fix situation sounds like it really set you back, David. Did the bad color job make you more cautious about trying new stylists again, or do you still occasionally roll the dice with a discount offer? A bad fix can really shake your trust in the whole process.
