The bus driver on Route 7 who remembered my coffee order
Rode the same 6:15 AM bus on Route 7 through Portland for about 8 months. One morning I was running late and forgot my usual black coffee from the Standby Coffee cart. The driver, a guy named Marcus, handed me a spare thermos from his bag and said, "You look like you need this more than I do." Never caught his last name, but I still think about that gesture every time I see a bus. Has anyone else had a random stranger do something small that just stuck with you for years?

My crew guy Doug once left his wallet at a diner and the cook chased him three blocks in the rain to give it back, then asked if he wanted a free pie. Doug still won't eat pie anywhere else.
