Took me 3 hours to find a simple cross street in Florence

The GPS kept sending me down these tiny one way alleys that don't show up on any map. Finally pulled over and asked a guy selling fruit who pointed me to a road that was literally right behind me the whole time. Anyone else have a local completely save your trip because maps just don't work there?

Had a map app tell me to turn left into a river once, so I feel this deep in my soul.

3 times last month my GPS tried to take me through a gated community that hasn't existed since 2019. People put way too much faith in a phone that can't tell a river from a road.
