Just wasted $230 on a cursed solar filter adapter ring
Ordered a custom 3D printed adapter ring from a guy on Etsy for my 8 inch Dobsonian to fit a specific solar filter. Took 6 weeks to arrive and it was 2mm too narrow, totally useless for the eclipse last month. Had to watch the whole event through a pinhole projector I built from a cereal box. Has anyone else dealt with custom astro parts that didn't fit?
