Spent $150 on a star tracker, my tripod laughs at me now

I bought a cheap motorized mount hoping for crisp 2-minute exposures, but forgot my old photo tripod wobbles like a jellyfish in a breeze. Even at 15 seconds, the stars look like little comets. Anyone else burn cash on gear only to find the weak link was standing underneath the whole time?
