A customer pointed out my paint blend was off by a hair and it completely changed my prep routine

Last month a guy in his 60s brought in an old Chevy and he noticed my blend line on the driver door was just barely visible in direct sunlight. He showed me how he does a dry sand to Level 5 before even spraying, and now I'm getting way cleaner transitions. Has anyone else had a customer or older tech teach them a small trick that made a big difference in their work?
