Just learned PPG has a color matching tool that uses AI now
I was training a new guy at the shop yesterday and he showed me this tool from PPG that scans your panel and suggests the exact mix in seconds. Has anyone else tried one of these AI color scanners yet or am I late to the party?

Held that PPG scanner myself last week and totally agree with @nathan851 about the speed. Took one swipe over a beat up 2012 Honda door and it spat out the mix before I could even grab my swatch book. Felt a little like the AI was showing off, honestly. Made me realize I've spent the last ten years just squinting at paint chips for nothing. My old eyes appreciate the assist.

Dude, you're not late at all. I played with one of those PPG scanners last month and it blew my mind how fast it nailed the color match (like, way faster than the old manual method). It's honestly kind of wild how good the AI is getting at this stuff, right?
