That one Tuesday where everything that could go wrong did go wrong
Honestly, I had a day last month that still bugs me when I think about it. First customer comes in at 8am with a 2015 Ford F-150 that had a simple dent on the rear quarter panel, but when I pulled off the tail light I found a ton of hidden rust underneath. Then a lady showed up for a bumper replacement on her Honda Civic and her insurance company hadn't even approved the claim yet. By 2pm, my paint gun clogged on a metallic blue coat and I had to strip it down and start over. Has anyone else had a day where three things just stacked up like that?

Three bad things in one day sounds pretty normal for this industry honestly. Maybe it was a rough Tuesday but it doesn't sound like everything went wrong.

Buddy of mine had a day where the server crashed, a client threatened to sue, and he locked his keys in the company van. All before lunch. He just sat in his car for twenty minutes eating a gas station sandwich.

The whole "eat a gas station sandwich in your car" thing hits close to home. I had a day where my compressor went out mid-job, a customer yelled at me for something that wasn't even my fault, and I realized I forgot my lunch at home. Ended up eating a stale granola bar and drinking warm water from a jug I keep in the van (desperate times, you know). Three things stacking up like that is just part of the deal sometimes, but when they all happen before noon it really messes with your head for the rest of the shift.
