The day I figured out my paint gun needed a different tip
I kept getting orange peel on clear coats for months. Took a call with a tech from the supply shop to realize I was using a 1.4 tip when I should have been on a 1.6 for the viscosity I run. Has anyone else had a similar issue with a specific brand of gun?

Oh man, that exact thing got me for way too long. I was running Sata guns and kept getting that texture no matter how much I adjusted the air. Turns out I was fighting against the tip size the whole time. Once I bumped up to a 1.6 it was like night and day, the clear laid down flat and smooth like it should. It's one of those little things that makes you feel dumb when you finally figure it out lol.

Read somewhere the tip size trick is actually one of those things nobody mentions in tutorials, seems like it.
