Dropped $600 on a "rebuilt" transmission that grenaded after 90 miles
The place swore it was bench-tested and ready to go, but now I'm pulling metal chunks out of the pan and wondering if anyone else has dealt with a shop that flat-out lies about rebuild quality?

My buddy's "rebuilt" alternator died in 12 miles last summer.

Died in 12 miles" is rough, that's like a record for fastest failure. My uncle had a "rebuilt" transmission that didn't make it out of his driveway once.
