I always thought the 'old timer' way of checking for a vacuum leak with a propane torch was just shop lore, but a guy at the car show in Bakersfield last weekend showed me on his '67 Mustang and it worked in seconds.

Totally believe it. My dumb self spent like 80 bucks on a smoke machine last year. Could have just used the grill tank from my patio. Some of those old school tricks are just built different, you know? Makes you feel like a real idiot with all the fancy tools in your cart.

Yeah I used to think all that old advice was just talk. But man, seeing stuff like this actually work makes me a believer.

Honestly, that "shop lore" thing is everywhere. Tbh I see it all the time with old tricks that actually work way better than the new, fancy way.
