I spent 45 minutes chasing a clicking noise in my F-150 before I found it
Turned out to be a loose heat shield bolt right above the exhaust manifold, took me all of 2 minutes to tighten once I actually looked in the right spot. Has anyone else had a simple fix hide from them for way too long?

Lol "took me all of 2 minutes to tighten once I actually looked in the right spot" is basically the story of my life with trucks. I spent a whole afternoon trying to figure out why my dash lights were flickering and it ended up being a loose ground cable under the hood I could've fixed in 30 seconds. These things just love to mess with you until you've already wasted a whole day.

Well that is just unbelievable to me. A whole afternoon lost over a loose ground cable? I had almost the exact same thing happen with my old F-150 a few years back except it took me three days. Three days of chasing gremlins through the fuse box, replacing bulbs I didn't need, even buying a new alternator I never installed. Ended up being a little screw that had worked itself loose from the factory. I still get worked up thinking about how much time I wasted on something so simple. Makes me wonder how many things in life are like that.
