Just realized that full engine rebuilds are overrated for common cars

Putting in a good used engine saves money and gets the car back on the road quicker.

Feel that pain so much, @jessicapatel. Watched a buddy sink thousands into rebuilding an old truck engine, only to have it blow a head gasket six months later. The math just never adds up once you start paying for all that new labor and parts. A solid used motor is almost always the smarter play for a daily driver. Glad you both dodged that expensive trap this time around.

Made that mistake with a Civic years ago, spent more on the rebuild than the car was worth. Learned the hard way that a good used motor from a junk yard is the move. Had my current daily back in two days for a fraction of the cost. My wallet still hurts from that first lesson.
