The 90 dollar flush kit that made me ditch my pressure bleeder

Tried one of those cheap vacuum bleeders from Harbor Freight for three brake jobs in a row and kept getting spongy pedals. Swapped to a simple Motive pressure bleeder last week, one pass on a 2015 F-150 and the pedal was rock solid. Anyone else find the vacuum method just doesnt seal worth a damn on older fittings?

Yeah, my buddy swore by vacuum bleeders, but his F-150 always felt mushy too.
