Rant: Got the tranny replaced on my 2016 Focus for $0 and it only happened because I read the fine print
Bought my Focus used in 2019 with 41k on it and the dealer pushed this third party plan on me for $1,400. I said no twice, then caved when they dropped it to $900, mostly to shut the guy up. Fast forward to last month, tranny started slipping so bad I could not get up the hill to my kid's school in Renton. Shop quoted $4,200 for a rebuild. Called the plan, and they covered the whole thing minus a $100 deductible, because the fine print says the tranny is covered to 100k miles. I almost threw that packet in the trash when I moved. Anyone else actually get paid out by one of these third party plans or am I just the lucky one?
