Disagreed with a lead tech about wire splicing at O'Hare and got called out for it
I was working on a 737 at the hangar near gate H10 back in 2021 and this old timer insisted we twist the wires before crimping. I told him that violates the IPC standard we use and showed him the spec. He didn't talk to me for a week but my splices passed the pull test first try. Anyone else run into veterans who refuse to update their methods?

Point out that the real issue here isn't about following the manual or respecting seniority. It's about how the LEADERSHIP handles the situation. If a lead tech can't handle being shown a better way without taking it personal, that's a management problem, not a you problem.

@james_martin93 missing the bigger picture though... seniority gets weaponized when management won't pick a side.
