Had a chat with a retired FAA inspector that made me rethink my whole approach
I was working on a King Air panel in a hangar outside of Amarillo last month when this older fellow walked up and started watching me. Turns out he was a retired FAA inspector who spent 30 years doing ramp checks. He told me he always looked at wire routing first because if that was sloppy, the rest of the job was probably sloppy too. It got me thinking about how much I focus on the big components and ignore the little details like proper cable dressing. Has anyone else had an old timer point out something simple that totally changed how you work?

Man I used to blow off small stuff like cable routing but this guy makes a solid point. Never thought about it as a tell for the whole job but it makes total sense.
