Hit 200 hours on my bench power supply and it finally clicked
I was working on a old King Radio nav unit from a 1970s Cessna and kept getting weird voltage readings. After about 150 hours of bench time I realized I was using a cheap multimeter that drifted like crazy. Swapped to a Fluke 87V and suddenly all those problems made sense. Has anyone else had a tool swap fix a bunch of weird issues at once?

Did your buddy @iris_ellis have a similar light bulb moment with a tool swap?

Fix your tools fix your problems. Fluke changed everything for me too.

My DeWalt multimeter gave me a reading that said 12 volts on a line that later almost welded my screwdriver to the panel. Switched to a Fluke 117 and suddenly I felt like I actually knew what I was doing instead of just guessing and hoping for the best. Now I walk on a job site and my toolbox actually looks like I belong there instead of a guy who bought everything at a flea market. Still screw up plenty but at least my meter isn't the reason anymore.
