I finally caved and bought a $600 thermal camera for finding bad connections
My boss kept nagging me for 6 months that I was wasting time with a multimeter, so I grabbed a Flir E8 off Craigslist and found three loose solder joints in 10 minutes that I'd been chasing for days, has anyone else had their mind changed by a tool they thought was overkill?

Honestly that's such a relief to hear, I was worried mine was just a fancy toy. It's wild how fast those loose joints pop out when you stop guessing with a meter. Glad it worked out for you, thermal cameras are definitely worth the hype once you actually use them.
