I just hit 1000 hours on the same old test set and the number shocked me
I was doing a routine calibration on a nav system yesterday and pulled the service logs from our shop's main test unit. The thing has been running almost non-stop since we got it three years ago. The screen showed 1000.2 hours of total operation, which is a LOT of cycles for that specific model. It's a real workhorse, but seeing that exact four-digit number pop up made me realize how much we rely on it. Anyone else have a piece of gear that just quietly hit a huge milestone without you noticing?

Are you sure that's not the actual runtime, or just a counter rollback? I used to think those big numbers were just worn out units, but that thing sounds like it's built tougher than I gave it credit for. Makes you wonder how many other tools are just chugging along without us noticing.

Wait, three years straight? That's insane. Our shop's main unit would have needed a new power supply twice by now.
