I was dead set against digital torque wrenches for calibration work until I used one on a 737's flap actuator last Tuesday
The old analog needle just wouldnt settle in the tight space but the digital gave me a solid reading in 2 seconds flat, has anyone else switched over for the tight access jobs?

Did the digital unit hold its calibration through the whole job or did you have to re-zero it halfway through? I've heard mixed things about the electronics drifting in cold hangar temps, especially on those older 737s with the pneumatic systems. The flap actuator linkage is a nightmare for clearance, but I'm curious if the digital display got glary with that bright hangar lighting bouncing off the cowling.
