Old Hawker wiring vs today's looms, night and day
I pulled apart an 1980s Hawker 800 this week for an audio panel swap and the old harness was just cloth tape and bare splices, nothing like the factory engineered looms I see on new Gulfstreams. Over 40 years the military and commercial side really pushed shielded twisted pairs and proper strain relief, and you can see it in the troubleshooting time. Anyone else notice a huge jump in build quality when they switch between vintage and modern airframes?
