Old timer told me my D-sub crimps were trash
I had a guy at the hangar look over my D-sub pins on a harness I built and he just shook his head. He said I was using the wrong die for the pins and showed me how to check the crimp height with a gauge. Turns out I was crushing the barrel too much on half of them, risking intermittent connections. Has anyone else had to unlearn bad crimping habits from just winging it?
