PSA: That $40 fluke meter off eBay was a scam

Bought a "like new" Fluke 87V for $40 off eBay, turned out it was a broken shell with a resistor taped inside. Anyone else get burned by fake gear on there?

Yo was that one of those listings with like 8 blurry photos and a description that says "works perfect"? My buddy Tom bought a Fluke 179 for $50 and it showed up with a smashed screen and a piece of cardboard with "TESTED" written on it inside the battery compartment lol. He messaged the seller and they just ghosted him, then the listing disappeared the next day. eBay refunded him eventually but still what a pain in the ass.
