Serious question, have you ever had a pilot thank you for catching a wiring error?

I was working a night shift at a small repair station in Wichita back in 2018. An old cargo pilot pulled me aside after I flagged a mislabeled pin on a backup nav unit, and he just said 'you saved me a real headache.' Still remember that one moment more than any inspection signoff. Does anyone else hold onto those little comments from the flight crew?

Ngl, those little moments hit harder than any formal recognition ever could. I had a first officer once come find me in the hangar after I fixed a miswire on an altimeter he'd been complaining about for weeks. He didn't say much, just nodded and said "I knew you'd find it." That tiny comment stuck with me longer than any merit badge or company email. It's like they see you as a real person who actually gives a damn, not just a tech number on a clipboard.

Yeah totally, that one line of trust from a pilot I barely knew made my whole month once.
