Switched to twist-on connectors after a panel fire scare at O'Hare last winter

I used to swear by crimp connectors for everything. Then last December I was troubleshooting a comm panel on a 737 at O'Hare and found a crimp that had arced and started melting the insulation. Took me 15 minutes to redo the whole bundle with twist-ons and a bit of heat shrink. Has anyone else had a similar close call that made you change your go-to method?

Found a crimp that had loosened up" yeah that's like finding out your seatbelt was never actually clicked in. Glad you caught it before the whole place went up like a roman candle.

Twist-ons saved my bacon on a similar job back in February. Found a crimp that had loosened up on a light fixture in a warehouse, almost burned the whole junction box. Swapped everything over to twist-ons that day and haven't looked back since.
