That time a senior tech tore apart my wire bundle in front of everyone

Guy named Pete in Tulsa watched me lace up a harness and just silently cut all my ties and started over. He showed me how leaving an extra half inch at every junction saved hours of rework later. Anyone else had a moment where someone's criticism actually made your work way faster?

Saw the same thing at a guitar shop where an old timer rewired a pedal board in half the time.

That line "rewired a pedal board in half the time" really hits home for me. What kind of pedal board was it? Like was it one of those big sprawling boards with 20+ pedals or something more modest? @kai_west I'm asking because I've seen a lot of guys who can wire a standard board fast but getting the signal chain right on a complex setup with weird power requirements is a whole different beast. Some old timers just have this sixth sense for routing cables clean and avoiding noise issues.
