TIL a bird's nest can turn a comms check into a comedy show

Had a plane come in for a static-filled radio, opened the antenna panel and found a perfect little nest with three eggs. The difference from a garbled signal to crystal clear after a careful relocation was instant. Anyone else had wildlife cause a weird fault?

Oh man, my buddy found a whole family of mice living in a server rack once. They'd chewed through a bunch of wires and were just having a grand old time. The cleanup and repair bill was not a fun surprise.

Ugh, that brings back bad memories. I had a squirrel get into my attic and chew through the internet cable last winter, left me without Wi-Fi for three days. Those little teeth can do some serious damage to anything plastic or rubber. The worst part was finding all the nut shells stuffed into the cable box, like a little rodent pantry. Makes you wonder what they're thinking when they set up shop in our stuff.
