TIL spending $60 on a coax stripper either saves hours or costs you a headache
I dropped $60 on a good coax stripper for a job last month, and it cut my prep time in half, but my buddy swears by the $15 cheap ones that work fine until they don't. Anyone else deal with this split, or is it all about how many connectors you're cranking out?

Man I used to be the guy buying the $15 ones all day long, figured it was just a fancy hunk of metal. Then I had to strip a bunch of RG6 for a buddy's whole house setup and that cheap stripper mangled like every third connector. Picked up a $60 Klein a week later and it's been smooth sailing ever since. That extra cash is worth it when you're not fighting the tool the whole time.

Heard a sparky say the same thing about Klein tools on a podcast once.

Yeah, that feeling of fighting the tool is so frustrating. I remember spending an afternoon with a cheap one that kept slipping, and by the end I was just sore and annoyed at myself for not getting something decent. Once you bite the bullet on a good one, it's like a weight lifts off, you just get the work done without the headache.
