Took me 4 years to realize I was always plugging test sets into the wrong port on the IRU
Was troubleshooting a 737 in Phoenix last month and a senior mechanic just glanced over and said 'wrong hole buddy' and that's when I noticed the tiny label I'd been ignoring the whole time, anyone else have a moment where a simple label saved them hours?

Have you ever read that FAA study about how many errors come from unread labels? It's like they put those stickers there for a reason but nobody looks until they mess up... I swear half my toolbox has tiny labels on it now after I spent an hour chasing a ghost fault on a test set.
