Honestly, I bought a $50 'ultralight' tent online that ripped in the first storm on the Lost Coast Trail.
Tbh, it was a total waste and I had to bail early. Anyone know a good, actually durable shelter for that kind of coastal wind?

I mean, I've had that cheap tent hold up fine for years. Maybe you just got a bad one?

What kind of weather have you actually put it through, though? Mine started leaking in a light drizzle the first time I used it. Maybe you've just been lucky with calm nights. I've found the quality on those budget models is all over the place.
