Paper maps at a ranger station made me feel old

Stopped at the ranger station near Glacier last month to grab a trail map. The kid behind the desk looked at me funny. Said most people just use their phone now. I get it, GPS is great. But I've been burned by dead batteries and no signal on the North Fork trail before. Carried a paper map that time and it saved me 4 miles of wrong turns. Anyone else still keep one in their pack as a backup?

Glacier's North Fork trail is actually up near the Canadian border, that's the west side. You might be thinking of the North Fork of the Flathead River, which is a totally different trailhead. Paper map still wins though, I keep one in my glove box for when my phone dies on the way there.
