The PCT water report trick that saved me 3 days of carries

Got sick of hauling 6 liters through dry stretches near Kennedy Meadows because the online water reports were always 2 weeks outdated. Found a guy on a forum who posts satellite imagery showing actual snowmelt timing, and I shaved 12 pounds off my pack for three straight resupplies. Anyone else rely on satellite data over those community reports?

Satellite data on snowpack is way more reliable. Those community reports are just too slow to keep up.
