Three years of resupply boxes, finally switched to buying on trail

I used to mail myself boxes from home on every trip, like the Appalachian Trail in 2021, but last month on the Colorado Trail I realized I spent $87 in shipping for stuff I could've grabbed at the same price in Salida. Has anyone else ditched the mail-drop system for good and just hit grocery stores at town stops?
