Had a week last spring where every single feeder went empty in 2 days flat

I mean, it was wild. The finches and chickadees normally take like a week to go through a tube feeder. But this one week in April, I was refilling the nyjer and sunflower seeds every other morning. Turned out a flock of pine siskins rolled through and just cleaned me out. They stuck around for maybe 5 days and then vanished. Has anyone else had a random migration stop like that wipe out their seed stash?

How many pounds of seed did you go through that week? I'm curious if the siskins did more damage than a normal flock of goldfinches.

My buddy went through 40 pounds that week and said those siskins ate like they were starving.
