Had suet cakes melting in 90 degree heat for 2 years before someone told me about the no-melt kind
I just assumed all suet fell apart in summer. A guy at the bird store showed me the difference in ingredients last month, now my feeders are actually usable in July. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Learned that lesson the hard way my first summer feeding birds. Rendered beef fat suet with no fillers holds up way better in heat. The cheap blocks just turn into a greasy puddle in July. Now I check the ingredients list every time before buying.

The lady at Wild Birds Unlimited told me the exact same thing last summer. I was like wait, so the cheap suet just has more filler that melts out?
