That cheap hummingbird feeder I bought on Amazon started leaking after 3 weeks
I put up a new hummingbird feeder in late May, one of those $12 plastic ones with the red base. By the third week, it was dripping sugar water all over my deck boards and attracting ants like crazy. I took it apart and saw the rubber gasket was already cracked and warped. Lesson learned - I should have spent $30 on a glass one from the local bird supply shop instead. Now I'm scrubbing sticky spots off my patio furniture and wondering if anyone else has had luck fixing these cheap feeders with a homemade gasket.

Did you try slicing up a bike inner tube for the gasket?
