TIL the sparrows at my aunt's place in Scranton line up on the fence at exactly 7am like clockwork
I stayed with my aunt in Scranton for 4 days and got up early to drink coffee on her back porch. Around 7am each morning, about 15 house sparrows landed on the same fence rail in a row, all facing the same way toward the feeder. They waited there for maybe 90 seconds before one dropped down to eat, then the rest followed all at once. My feeder at home gets birds all day but never a crowd like that. Is this a morning thing, or do they just know my aunt's schedule better than I know mine?
